Our Vision:
SUPPORT, GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND PARTICIPATION.
Forward Steps Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a community led group based in Tullow, Co. Carlow, funded primarily by TULSA.
Our Early Years service, Little Steps, is funded by Pobal.
The centre is run by a volunteer board from the local area, with extra help from volunteers in our charity shop and other activities.
Our main goal is to support local families, children and individuals by offering family supports, education and training, community projects and counselling and therapy. We aim to provide a safe, warm, comfortable and welcoming place for everyone within our community.
Our Mission:
TO CREATE A VIBRANT COMMUNITY SPIRIT IN WHICH CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY CAN REACH ITS FULL POTENTIAL. .
Some of the key services and supports provided by Forward Steps Resource Centre include:
Little Steps Early Years Service
Information, advice and advocacy
Low cost confidential counselling service
Access for children to play therapy supports.
Community based education courses and training opportunities.
Domestic Violence and Gender Based Violence Outreach service.
Supports to new communities living in the area.
Forward Steps is core funded by TUSLA, Child and Family Agency under the Family Resource Centre Programme.
Little Steps is funded through Pobal by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
