FORWARD STEPS

Forward Steps Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a community based organisation that is core funded by TULSA, the Child and Family Agency. Our Early years service is funded by Pobal and is called Little Steps. The resource centre which is at the heart of Tullow, in Co.Carlow, is managed by a core group of voluntary board of management members who come from the local community and our target area. Much support is also provided by volunteers in our charity shop  and other initiatives at the centre.    

The main aims of Forward Steps FRC is to enhance,support and facilitate the local community, families, children and individuals through the delivery of family support services and initiatives, education and training opportunities, community development practice and through our counselling and therapeutic service. In particular, we pride ourselves in providing a safe, warm, comfortable and inclusive environment for those who are most vulnerable and at risk in our local community.

• Little Steps Early Years Service

• Low cost confidential counselling service

• Access for children to play therapy supports.

• Community based education courses and training opportunities.

• Domestic Violence and Gender Based Violence Outreach service.

• Supports to new communities living in the area.

Forward Steps is core funded by TUSLA, Child and Family Agency under the Family

Resource Centre Programme. Little Steps is funded through Poba by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
